1       What is the Transparency Portal?


It is the means by which Barcelona Provincial Council disseminates public information. Public information is the collection of data arising from the council's activity in its relationships and collaborations with other public administration bodies.


It is an instrument that serves to make Barcelona Provincial Council accountable to its citizens and which legitimises its public actions.


The Transparency Portal is defined and regulated by Law 19/2014, of 29 December 2014, on transparency, access to public information and good governance.


2       What information can I consult?


Data and documents on:


  • Institutional organization and administrative structure
  • Decisions and actions with legal relevance
  • Economic, accountancy, budgetary and asset management
  • Planning and programming
  • Public procurement
  • Collaboration agreements
  • Activities relating to subsidies
  • Register of interest groups
  • Eligibility conditions for council members
  • Declaration of capital assets and interests

From 2015 onwards.                      


4       How can I search for information?


At the head of every page on the site is a 'Search' option.


Using the advanced search (magnifying glass) you can refine your query, making use of the filters available:


  • Search using a specific word or words
  • Search using a phrase
  • Search for content excluding specific words
  • Search based on content type: action, content, agreement and news.
